The Timber is creamy white to pale yellow in colour with
little or no distinction between sapwood or heartwood. It is fairly soft,
light in weight, but firm and fine and even in texture, the grain is often
interlocked.
Working Properties:
The comparative softness of the wood make it very easy to
work with both hand and machine tools. An excellent finish is obtainable and
the wood stains and polishes well, and has good gluing properties.
Physical Properties:
The
wood dries well with little tendency to warp or shake.
