Description
Thermally modified wood is a chemical-free, ultra-stable timber that resists rot and warping, making it the perfect durable cladding choice for beautiful, low-maintenance facades.
Physical Properties
Due to the process of high-heat transformation the cell structure of timber changes to an ultra-stable, moisture-resistant timber that actively repels rot. It also minimises and twisting, warping, and cupping common in standard redwood, for example, with virtually zero maintenance.
Durabilty
Once the thermal modification is complete the resulting timber is unable to hold water any more and this means even a usually non-durable timber species will become durable (away from ground contact) and require no nasty treatments.
